The Potting Shed was born from early childhood memories of growing up in a market garden, cutting lettuce and picking peas and raspberries and the joy of seeing seeds germinate and nurturing them through all the stages to become tasty homegrown produce, through to making the most delicious raspberry jam.

In 2014 the business started as a partnership between friends due to an abundance of strawberries and courgettes that year. A friend suggested making jam and chutney with them. The first product created at The Potting Shed was the Courgette & Pepper Relish, which was later entered this into the Great Taste Awards in 2018 receiving a two star award. The Potting Shed began trading as an Official business in April 2016. Their tag line is -  SOW-GROW-PICK-PRESERVE.
